Thanks for the response guys. Slingshot is a great idea. The only problem is that we have a couple of them at the gym. I just never seem to use them. So I really do not need to buy one at this time.

I am starting to lean towards a KB. Something that I would use just for my extra workouts, mostly for conditioning and stuff.

Still not sure though. I never have this much trouble buying something for lifting.

I have changed my mind and I think I am going to get a couple of Loading pins from Iron Mind shown here:

Olympic 15" loading pin for Olympic plates and clip-Ironmind Enterprises

Supposedly, they can handle up to 1500 lbs each. My plan for them is mostly strongman stuff. Like carrying up stairs and also planning to make kind of a ghetto yoke. Will suspend both of these from a bar and walk with it. Should work, and then I can do all the normal things you do with a loading pin also. I think this is a tool, I could use very often. And can mimic a lot of things you use a KB for.
