Should the above comment be allowed in the public forum? What has she done to annoy you? Nobody wants to know what she does to you. If you cannot be constructive, don't be destructive. Learn to keep quiet.

Hmmm.

If I were you I would consider why you get so defensive when someone questions you. An easy solution would be not to post, this is a public forum after all. A more sensible solution might be actually have a conversation and answer the question being asked without resorting to inferring insults and strawman arguments.

If your next reply is more of the same, I won't be replying.
As a member I have a right to post anything relevant here. I need not ask you. If you have a problem, don't reply. There is nothing defensive here, I actually never expected to do something like this on a supposedly experts forum.

I posted this because, I wanted to share knowledge. An experienced person like Steve was not aware of how to do DB Good Mornings. This is not to challenge his knowledge, reality is, he has never been in the situation where he has only DBs at his disposal. I am in the situation and just to help others, I have posted this video. And I think that's quite legal and relevant.

And please do not reply. I am sick to death discussing this.

And you actually think reducing my reputation points would mean something?? Keep Dreaming.

The wording here can cause members to assume that the post was for the purpose that they automatically assumed it was for, which I did as well; had you not used the terms hot and mature but rather stated that it was for instructional purposes, then members may not have taken the post the wrong way, being ambiguous with such posts can lead to misinterpretation.

I thought the same.
Correct, the wordings were ambiguous, but I did clarify the purpose in my latter post. So, criticizing the video again for the 'unproductive' weights was not required.

I would take care next time, for sure. But getting involved in pointless discussions is not me.

Yeah I didn't even bother watching the video because I saw hot and mature and thought you were just admiring her looks.
The statement lead me to believe that this was anything but a contribution of knowledge.
just saying.

I think you owe him an apology. The text with your post lead us to believe you were admiring the woman.

In addition, posting a video without any questions or comments that hint as it's point leaves your reason a mystery.

Furthermore, this is an open forum and people can post whatever they'd like as long as it's not inappropriate. If they misinterpreted your point, clarify your point. Don't attack them.

We do in the Shout Box each day.

People merely were trying to have fun because they had no idea what your post was about.

You should have shared that in your initial post. You didn't, and that's why people freely commented. You can't get mad at people for responding randomly when the initial post was just a video with no questions or comments about why you posted it.

They were making an assessment because you still were extremely unclear as to why you posted the video. Saying it was for "knowledge purposes" is still open-ended, and people responded as intelligently as they could.

The weight is light, and I had no idea why this woman would lift as such. Was this the knowledge you were trying to pass along? I don't know. I just posted about what I saw.

People have a right to comment freely. The weight was non-taxing. I commented with the same response. We were trying to make an intelligent analysis of the video. I assumed you were interested in doing the same with multiple dumbbells.

I also owe lurkers to this forum an intelligent response. If I see an unproductive exercise/approach, I am going to mention it.

That's the problem, the clarification should have been in the first post not in a later post.

A video or a link will always be discussed in the light of training value which it was even if that comes in the form of "criticism", that's how analysis works.

Pointless discussions is very relative to the context of a "discussion", since all discussions have a point to someone or other.

Josh, 5kg, Btb, thank you.

The irony is my questioning regarding the light weights was because I wanted to lead into a discussion regarding the benefit of form practice with light weights. On the one hand people may say form can and should be practice with light weights, on the other hand others may say that a heavy weight changes your form due to the load placed on the body and practice can only be done with challenging weights.

There is quite a good discussion to be had on that topic if the discussion had actually carried on. I would be happy to have that discussion in another thread as it's something I have thought about a lot.
