Default Homemade Prowler

Here's the "ghetto Prowler" I recently made for my gym. I don't start conditioning as part of my contest prep for another four weeks, but this thing has been KILLING my two training partners (both beautiful females in their early-twenties, by the way), and I can't wait to start wearing the thing out ...

Thought about putting any metal shoe protectors in the corners to protect the wood for a bit longer? It may not be feasible, of course.

After this pic was taken, I added another 2 x 6 to each side of the bottom as "skis", to make sure the bolts on the bottom were covered up. We do all our Prowler work in the parking lot, and the wood has proven terrific on the pavement! We've beaten the crap out of this thing and while the wood holds up remarkably well on the bottom, I figure it's no big deal to have to put new 2 x 6's on every few months if need be (I have a lot of extra 2 x 6's).

Haha, yeah, I guess. I'm always looking to make stuff better, though, so suggestions are always welcome.

Good post. Going to sticky this in case anyone has more questions.

Thanks! Am hoping to shoot video of it in action tonight; will upload it to my YouTube channel and share here.

We're hoping you video the training partners, otherwise don't bother sharing.

Seriously, do you have plans, instructions, and/or a materials list right off the top of your head? It looks pretty cool. Might be something the kids and I could employ.

Haha! Unfortunately, while I did get video tonight, The Angels stayed behind the camera. However, if you check out the "homemade glute-ham raise" video I shared in this forum, you get to see one of them in action.

I'll share the specs when I upload the video ...
