I prefer a combination of whey and casien. It has different absorption rates and therefore (theoretically) feeds the muscles for longer.

The jury is still out, but what I have been reading lately is that soy blocks trypsin, which is necessary for protein digestion. Haven't read the full studies though, so I could be wrong.

Soy is estrogenic; meaning it lowers your testosterone and raises your estrogen.

I would advise you to stay the hell away from it. And anything else the vegans are crazy about. Kill a moose and eat it. (or your American equivalent of a moose...a buffalo or something)

Whey by far in my opinion, but you will get more out of beef and most forms of meat and eggs.
