Best way to get protein
What is the best way to get protein in my diet? With a shake or with foods that have protein in them?

I agree that you can use both. I enjoy a protein shake everyday, and also love my steaks, burgers and things to that nature.

Both is good, whole foods is good, but not solely from shakes.

Just take a shake when whole foods don't fit in you time schedule.

Pro shakes are a supplement.

I may rattle some cages here. Truth is, there is no bodily receptor that determines what is a good protein or bad protein. There is nothing in your body that will suddenly reject a steak or a shake because it is or is not a "Whole" protein. That said, as Rich said, whey is a supplement. If you can eat good proteins you should eat them, but your muscles won't melt away from a lack of protein if you drink a shake. Use it all to your advantage.

Doesn't rattle my bones. I love on shakes. I'm old, have limited calories per day, and need the low calorie option of whey.

I eat a couple half my daily protein from whole foods and supplement with 5 scoops of whey per day.
