Recovery Drinks
What do you drink as a recovery drink? What do you think makes a good recovery drink?

Just a simple protein shake mixed with milk. I have a meal about 30 minutes after that.

My post-workout nutrition of choice is a good protein-rich meal. However, if that's not immediately available I'll generally go with a shake of some sort (generally whey +casein + carbs) to tide me over until I can get a real meal.

Whey and BCAA's, I mostly use EFX's NF Pro Whey and LBA (liquid beef aminos) but I use in addition to this stack Xtend BCAA's.

I have been drinking xtend during workouts and then usually just a whey shake post workout. I think food is much more important than your recovery drink

I like a shake thats packed with nutrients.
I throw these in a smoothie blender:
  • AAEFX's NF-Pro or IGF-33 whey
  • AAEFX's Karbolyn
  • spinach
  • pineapple
  • low fat chocolate Milk
Some days I throw a banana in also.

I take AAEFX's
  • Cell Ruch
  • LBA Pro
  • LG-5
at my last 2 sets of the workout.

Chocolate milk is one of my favorites. I drink it from time to time.
