What are the best foods to be eating when you lift? I know protein but anything else I should really load up on?
Anything that isn't processed. So that leaves you with meats, fruits and veggies.
And to answer your second question: Yes, it really is that simple.
Really, you can eat just about anything as long as it fits your totals and you see progress towards goals.
