Have you read the research of Weston Price?

You bring to the table a statement framing Paleo as some modern misinterpretation created by 2 guys with blogs, and you follow it with a logical fallacy that frames Taubes as an idiot.

I don't really like the way this is headed.

Then let's stop it before it starts. The statements I made were nothing more then me stating my position, and were not intended to be taken as argumentative or debating. As I've said, I've been in this argument too many times to want to scour pubmed, opposing author's work, the web and other sources just to be involved in a pointless debate.

I won't debate with you unless I'm willing and prepared to back my position, and I believe you already know better of me than to assume I'll just begin making stabbing gestures of disrespect without giving valid and refuting evidence.

From my experiences; this is one of those debates where the arguing parties have already chosen a side, and nothing the other says will ever change the other's position. It just causes problems with people you otherwise like and get along with.

Wait a minute, you're a dude and you hired a woman for a personal trainer?

That's your first mistake, and I'm not being sexist really, and completely serious. Two different sexes and bodytypes man. That was a bad idea.

That's like me wanting to hit my 400lb bench press this offseason and working out with my girlfriend... prolly not gunna happen, she dont know shit and isnt going to be able to push me or spot me...

Go hire another trainer.

Maybe some pics of the trainer could answer the question as to "why" a female trainer? If she's hot, good choice. If she can outlift you, you need a trainer, but still good choice.

That's making quite an assumption... A female trainer could easily be qualified, and possibly more qualified than a male to train another male. Sex means nothing in terms of knowledge and educational status. Would I typically agree with you that a man should seek a male trainer in typical gym atmospheres? Sure. But I wouldn't say that a woman is unqualified to train a male, and I probably recommend you to seek a trainer at a typical gym either.

Muscle is muscle, and as long as they understand what it takes to promote growth anyone can have success.
