The short answer to fix your problem is that the program you are using is not the right program for you. Your caloric intake is another isse than we can talk about.

I don't have time to get into it right now. I'll post some more tomorrow.

The simple answer is that you are burning more than you are consuming. I will wait for GL's reply, but I would rework your menu.

Your body at your age is like a nuclear furnace burning every calorie you consume. You really only need to change a few things about how you are eating. It is really very simple.

You must consume more calories than you are burning. The best thing about this is that high caloric dense foods are usually not expensive. Ever heard of junk food!

Here are some inexpensive carb sources that you can eat a lot of for calories.

Rice
Oatmeal
Ramon, or plain spaghetti. Ramon is kinda high in sodium, but very cheap.

Protein

Whole milk
Eggs
Wal Mart body fortress protein powder

You were asking about weight gainers. MAKE YOUR OWN!!! If you can find weight gainer on sale compare the cost advantage, and go the best route for you.

Make whole milk ice cream shakes, and add protein powder. Drink several a day.

Find caloric dense foods and eat them. Don't be afraid of FAT. Your body does not care what it burns, only that it has enough to burn. Do get enough protein, but don't worry about the rest.

Find fast food specials and take advantage of them. When whoppers are a buck on special, eat two of them. See where I'm going with this.

================================================== =======

Lets talk about the program your using.

With your general build, and how your utilizing you intake of calories you need to do a very basic heavy program. Even 3 days a week might be too much for you at this point.

You need to consider everything that goes into your weekly schedule and how much your body is recovering. All of this has an effect on you.

The program your using is burning calories that you need by having you do movements that are spinning your wheels, so to speak.

You should be doing only these moves for at least several months.

Squat
BB rows/ Deadlifts
Overhead pressing
Bench Press

That's it!!!

Those 5 basic compound movements are all the work you need.

Now go eat a pizza!! make that 2!

Some great advise here.^^^^ If you can get to Sam's or Costco, both have protein cheap. Search for deals on protein. I have priced out the Body Fortress and have found that if I hunt around, I can usually find protein at a cheaper cost per serving. Case in point. BF is about $16 for 2lbs. I just purchased Dymatize Fusion 7 for 29.99 for a 5 lb online at M&S. Make use of Walmart, Sams, costco to purchase cheap whole foods. You can get 5lbs of old fashioned oats at Costco four about $5. I purchase the Sam's brand mesquite chicken breast for about $10 a bag. Makes a great quick meal, as they are precooked and has about 30g protein per breast. I, like you, do everything I can to find great food at cheap prices. BTW, this is a great time to find Sweet Potatoes cheap. I was in a store the other day and found them at 29 cents a pound.

A thought to add concerning the training. Starting Strength would be a great place to start. Google it and you can find all kinds of helps, including spreadsheets to help you figure out what weight to use.
