it doesn't seem all that hard... and if i were around 250 I probably would have that in there... the turtle is essentially just that... vanilla ice cream with pecans and caramel covered in chocolate.... once i get up there one of those shakes and another 3k will be nothing... probably leave me hungry half the time tho...

Whole milk is your best friend. This doesn't come from me, this is all Rippetoe.
Between 1/2 to 1 full gallon a day spaced evenly throughout the day. Use it in your shakes, drink it with lunch, a glass as a snack, whatever.
It's every bit as good as any of those gainer powders out there and infinitely cheaper.
Peanut butter in your protein shakes (liberally) along with making them with whole milk closes the calorie gap well, as others have already mentioned.
