Hi Melin,

Personally I wouldn't purchase the MusclePharm brand due to the price and also because the digestive enzyme blend is BS. The Gold Standard brand is expensive as well, personally I go with the NOW brand. When you are comparing proteins, you can check out the labels on them but it's also not a regulated industry so buying a reputable brand for a good price is generally a good idea since some of the lower end brands may appear to be a good deal but could be cut with a lot more sugars.

I would go with the Optimum Nutrition. It's a quality product from a company that has been around a relatively long time. I use them 98% of the time. I have found that the flavors and mixability of ON are consistently good.

Also, always check how many servings in a 5 pound jug. Some seem like a decent deal, but will only have 55 servings, while others have 77 in the same 5 pounds

I just go with 80% whey protein concentrate unflavored in bulk.

Me too.

Remember that foodstuff companies make most of their money by 'adding value'. This means taking the basic product and increasing the perceived value to the customer by either (a) adding trivial amounts of ingredients x, y, z or (b) keeping the product essentially the same but calling it something exciting (e.g. a 'proprietary blend').

So my view would be, 'buy cheap and simple'.

Who do you get the bulk protein from? I've always been interested in that option, but was never too sure what the product quality was
