I eat Tiger's Milk and Snickers...they have protein...and fat...and sugar...all of which I need.
However, I put whey in milk or eat some animals if I really want protein.

I generally do not eat protein bars, and prefer to eat whole solid protein types, such as, Beef, Pork, Turkey, buffalo, etc, and get most of my beef/buffalo/pork from a local meat market (butchered on site), which is unprocessed and has no other additives, and I know pretty much what I am consuming. It is wholesome, takes long to digest, keeps me full longer, and it is a natural source.
Within my business lifestyle I generally do not have a difficult time getting or cooking good protein sources, and just do not have a "need" for protein bars. And, can see its use within different lifestyle patterns. But, if I did, I would examine the various products before purchase, for the type of protein, amount of carbohydrates (and hidden sugar types), amount of calories, and the content of the other added ingredients, before making a decision on a purchase. As with most products, there are some good ones and some bad ones. If one examines the type of protein sources and educates themselves on the three types of macros, various ingredients (within competent studies) that "may" not be a good thing, and study sugar type sources, they can gain a pretty good idea, when they look at the package of ingredients whether it is a good product that contains a good source of protein or not.

I do, I love them. Quest for sure, although I know theres controversy with them right now, my other favs are Pure Protein, Kroger supermarket brand, Muscle Milk bars, and Six Star nutrition for a very good tasting bar on a budget!

IMO the best protein bars are Beef Jerky, can't go wrong unless you havea problem with salt, and if you do just eat more potassium with the beef jerky and you will be fine.

I used to, but I prefer real, natural food, not processed foods. And bars a very processed, and almost always contain artificial ingredients.
