Default How often to take BCAAs

I just bought Scivation Xtend BCAA. How often are you supposed to take them? Scivation recommends "during exercise on training days, or throughout the day on non-training days". It seems most people take it with breakfast, before and after a workout, and before bed. I'm curious what everyone's thoughts where on this.

Really BCAAs are nice because there isn't a need for timing. During workouts or before workouts is cool because they will help throughout the lifting, I usually just drink them for a flavored drink since I drink only water.. it's nice to have some over ice just for a tasty drink.

I don't see a need in taking them 3 and 4 times a day, that'll add up in cost and it won't give the 'regular joe' any type of advantage over only 1 a day or 1 on training days.

There will be more people giving their opinions too

I take 10 grams every morning after taking my greens supplement. I also take a serving pre-training, especially if I haven't eaten in awhile or are training fasted. So, on non training days I take 1 serving, and on training days 2 servings.

A great supplement to take intra training is Arkworld's Ark 1

I only ever take mine during training unless I'm dieting.

Thanks to all for the input. I'm just going to take mine during workouts on the days I lift.

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

I usually sip my during workout instead of plain water, then slam what's left in my shaker after my workout. I also typically sip on them during dinner or snacks at night just to have something with flavor.

During training for me or if dieting down for a show, then I'll use those as muscle preservation during lowered caloric intake. Before bed is another good time as you are about to enter into a "fasted" state so in theory, they should help keep you anabolic during this time.

BCAAs are optimally used when training fasted or if your meals are more than 5 or so hours apart. You can also improve poor protein sources by adding leucine. I train several hours after eating and use xtend with about 45 grams of dextrose and some sea salt, and honestly, recovery has been amazeballs.
