Whey shakes

I am interested in taking whey shakes but am unsure what would be a good brand to get. Would you say that the ones from stores such as Walmart would be good enough or do I need to spend more and get the stuff that stores such as GNC have?

Oh an also, how do you make them? I have seen some say with water and ice, some say not any ice, some make with milk. How do you make yours, or which way tastes the best to you?

Do not buy the Walmart brand. That stuff tastes horrible and bloats me something fierce.
I'd personally suggest you support the forum by finding something advertised here.

i always mix it with milk, more protein that way.

I suggest milk as well. And some ice to make it good and cold and thicker. Buy them on here, many have had great results with them.

I have had good luck with Optimum Nutrition's Hydro Whey -- It mixes with water or milk.

You can also use almond milk if you have a lactose or caloric concern, Taste great!!

Ice or no ice is a personal preference. I do mine without. Mixes great in a shaker cup.

Order from the link, here on MAB.

I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to protein powders for some reason. I usually use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard (i think thats what its called). I won a jug of Atlarge Nutrition protein at a meet once and really liked it as well. It just seems to be on the pricey side.

I just buy dirt cheap 100% pure WPC without any fancy packaging or labelling, in bulk purchases, and mix a scoop at a time with a good amount of whole milk.

Two of those a day does me fine for now.

Dray where do you buy those at and do they have a chalky taste at all?
