Personal tips that I've learned along my still short journey:
Leave your ego at the door.
Prepare. Showing up dehydrated, hungry, and tired will guarantee failure.
Be ready to fight for that grinder of a PR.
Listen and learn. Absorb everything you can, and assimilate that knowledge.

I was taking one scoop of pure whey protein (concentrate, because it's much cheaper) with whole milk per day; now I have two (separately).
It's fine as is, either flavoured, or with flavoured milk, or totally unflavoured (which is how I have it), or indeed, in an infinite variety of shakes, smoothies, recipes... you name it.
Just another ingredient, really. An extremely convenient and affordable one, mind you.
Squat 160kg (352.7lbs), Bench 115kg (252.5lbs), Deadlift 220kg (485lbs)
Front Squat 130kg (286.6lbs), Strict Press 80kg (176.4lbs), Chinups +30kg (+66.1lbs)

no, there aren't any detrimental effects. typically, the purer the whey, the more expensive it is, so if you found a place with cheap whey isolate, then you've struck gold.
in the past, i sometimes felt like spending money on Zero Carb Isopure, which is probably one of the most expensive wheys (tastes great, though).

They are obviously good for us in fact better then the other ones because they are made by nature and that can't be wrong this is what i feel.Taking them is nothing bad for health.
