Default Milk and cheese

I have never been a milk drinker. I do like cheese, but do not eat that much of it. However yesterday, I had a glass of milk with my breakfast and then a few bites of cheese around 10. I had a glass of milk as well with my lunch and then had some yougurt around 3. I want to know if this will help to keep me fuller. Usually by 6, I am just starving and can wolf down supper. But last night I was not as hungry as I usually am and today I do not feel as hungry either, as I have had 2 glasses of milk. Does drinking milk and eating milk products make you feel fuller? Maybe this is why I overeat sometimes (LOL ok a lot).

Well if it keeps you from overeating then I would say that you should keep drinking milk. Never mind the fact that it is super healthy for you, and will make your bones strong.

No, what does make me feel fuller is drinking 2 water bottles. Try drinking a gallon of water a day, and let me know how that goes. It also helps to drink a glass of water before meals.

Anything with fat in it, like whole milk and cheese, is very filling. Fat and protein take longer to digest than carbs, generally speaking, so they also keep you fuller longer. You should try to get both with every meal. Carb heavy meals tend to just make you hungry again.

Another solid source of protein from the milk and dairy family is cottage cheese. A lot of people can't stomach it though. If you get the dry curd type, it is pretty much pure protein and no salt (I had to mix it with chopped fruit or some flavored yoghurt). Great slow digesting casein protein.

Another way is to add it to salads (like you might feta cheese). Pour some EVOO and balsamic vinegar and you have a very low carb, low fat, and fairly low calorie snack/meal.

After losing over 100 pounds, i drink between 3/4 and 1 gallon of whole milk a day, and after 10 months I have not gained any of it back!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

That is awesome! Great job on losing that weight

I love my milk. And I tend to eat cottage cheese daily. I love the stuff with tomatoes. It does keep me fuller longer. Dairy products really do fill you up!
