Default Green diet

A friend of mine was posting on facebook about a green diet that she was on. She said just include one green item with every meal and snack you eat. Like having a spinach smoothie with your breakfast, a kiwi for a snack, green tea with your lunch, a greens salad with supper. She said that it gives off more energy and she feels wonderful now. Anyone tried this out?

Green vegetables tend to have certain valuable nutrients and good fiber (bt so do most colorful veggies and fruits).

Nothing magical in it, but it's not a bad idea.

I agree if you eat good then you will be fine. I do not see a need to include green foods in your diet at every meal.

If I had to "go on a diet", it'd probably be something like a rainbow diet meets paleo meets IIFYM...

Actually yeah, that wouldn't be too far off. FWIW, I believe the "rainbow" approach to be wiser than the "green", but then, a nutritionist I ain't. Just trying to eat more every day, lol.

I too think that a diet full of the rainbow would be so much healthier. I can not see yourself just limited to the color green.

Basically adding A LOT more fruits and veggies to your diet, in combination with lean protein and healthy fats....But as long as IIFYM.
