Default Supplements for hypertension

I have hypertension that's been controlled by medication for some time now. Runs in the family. On a recent visit to the doc for a sinus infection it came out that my BP is way up for some reason. He put me on an additional med for it that is helping some.

I'm looking for supplements to help out with this. So far I've come up with potassium and arginine as possible candidates. Anyone have any suggestions?

From Livestrong.com: commonly used dietary supplements for hypertension include calcium, magnesium, potassium, coenzyme Q10, essential fatty acids, mistletoe, garlic, selenium, L-carnitine, L-arginine, lecithin granules, bromelain, kelp, proteolytic enzymes, and vitamins A, B, C and E.

Strong recommendation of lecithin.

You can lower your carbs. It will help with sodium retention. Decrease water levels and BP.

I was looking into the lecithin granules. They have a good dose of potassium as well. A double whammy!
