Default Whey proteins

Why should I drink whey proteins after a workout? Do they really help my body?

Its protein. Its after your workout. You could eat a steak instead, but its easier to drink a shake. Thats honestly about it.

I know this subject can get heated, but heck...you're thirsty. Your body is depleted. Magic window aside, there is no downside and only possible upside. In my opinion. And if I am wrong, I'm drinking it anyway. I'm a stubborn old sot.
