Ron Kramer of Thermolife has been granted a US patent for DAA, and all sub-forms. Working with Patrick Arnold years ago to "discover" DAA and what it does, they now have a monopoly on the stuff. Any company that uses any DAA, will have to pay a royalty fee.

I can understand protecting intellectual property, but this is complete BS. DAA is not some new compound, it's been around for 200+ years. One of the few things that worked for quite a few people, and that dump of a company people rave about is proved to just be in it for the money. Typical business I guess..

I wonder what the loopholes are, and if companies will start adding funky bonds or derivatives to slip it by.

Yay, patenting, my favourite of all things!

There are some crazy lawsuits over patents in the mobile and telecommunications industry to the point of stupidity. Old picture, but you get the idea:
