Default Sweetners

I love coffee and tea but only with a sweet taste to it. Which one is actually better for the body? Sugar, or sugar substitutes? I have heard so many bad things about both but right now I can not give up tea or coffee without having a tad bit of sweetness to it.

I have heard many debates as well over how one is worse than the other for you. I have used both for my drinks. I think that within moderation you should be fine using either.

Most of the bashing of aspartame is from a hoax, little real evidence has been submitted to prove it is unsafe in normal amounts of consumption. Same for sucralose. In my eyes, sugar is far worse, but as long as you aren't having issues keeping weight, cholesterol, and blood sugar under control, which ever you prefer is probably fine.

Neither. If the good Lord meant for the nectar of heaven to be sweetened, or white for that matter, He would have made it that way.

LOL, I have to disagree. I love my coffee sweet and can not drink it just black.

I used to have 2 sugars in drinks, now I just drink them milk and sugar free.

You could try honey, some people like that, in tea at least.

Black coffee tastes too bitter for me. I prefer to have it with milk and sugar.
