Know, if one is eating enough for strength gains, is one also eating enough for muscle gain?

You will need to eat enough to keep strength gains progressing.

But you can gain strength without gaining and noticeable muscle mass. The easiest way to make sure you are eating enough for muscle gains is to watch the scale move in a positive direction; slowly but surely.

My undereducated opinion is going to say not necessarily. I've gained strength on several long term cuts. One cut, while using strict intermittent fasting, I lost a fair amount of muscle mass while bringing my strength up quite a bit. This took place over a 110 day period in 2007, and I lost about 50 total pounds and about 10 pounds of muscle.

A lot of different variables and possible scenarios here.

Given that none of us cut for years on end, at some point if the strength gains continue I am going to say so will the muscle gains, to some degree.
