Default Rude people at the gym

I have been lifting for quite some time. I know I do not know it all but the other day when I was at the gym this cocky guy was there and was telling me how to do this and that. I was polite but he kept after me saying you should try this or that for your squats or you are not doing this right. I asked him how long he was lifting for and he stated one year. I replied I have been at it for over 5 I know my stuff. Yet he still continued to criticize me. Ever deal with these cocky guys at the gym that feel that just because they have been lifting for a whole year they know it all?

Some people are frowned upon because they actually research things. JS.

I'm not saying this was the case with you, but it does happen.

My advice to you would be ignore the guy. Tell him you appreciate his advice, but you'll continue to do things your way.

I can read between the lines, and some of these comments are taking me to a place I don't want to go.

Let's not turn a disagreement into hate. Please. Don't make me bring out Mr. Socko.

This is one of many reasons why I have a home gym. Its just me and my brother the iron: The one. The one that tells me the truth and doesnt sugar coat anything. And, I love it for this.
