5x5 workout question
 
How long should I take it easy on my first 5x5 before I start trying to push myself?

I don't think there is a set in stone answer. You may consider giving it 3 or 4 weeks to ramp up on the routine before you start hitting and breaking PRs. I've read from multiple authors that the more you ease into a routine, the longer you can progress.
