Nothing beats a home gym. I simply needed to show the value to my wife. Now that the kids are older and taking an interest, my wife is very glad we made the purchase.

Ditto (except for the strongman equipment part). Ceilings in the basement are too low for most racks though.

Ignoring the fact I don't actually own a home gym, definitely an away from home gym. Having said that if I had a consistent and reliable crew to lift with then a home gym would be perfect as you would have constant support and competition. Without that I personally would find it difficult to lift in a home gym

I love you for that, Iron.

Its just between me and the iron, and it gives crap all the time. Like right now (My pc is in my home gym), its talking crap: You worked out yesterday evening, but, didnt show me sh$t.

Yea, we see wad' up next time, B-tch.
HAHA! Crazy old man! :P

I train at home too. I have always like to be able to hit it whenever i want, without distractions, people in the way, or having to shower and get ready to workout.

I have recently taken a step towards training at home, I have come to a deal for a used power rack. I think I got it for a good price, I am going to be ordering a good power bar, and then I will pick up some used weights in the very near future.

I think I will continue to go to the gym on some days and train at home the rest of the time. I have been dreaming of a complete home gym for a long time. Saturday I get my rack so the building begins.
