Fascinating isn't it?

I'm 5'7" on a good day, and weigh 215 at probably 20% fat. So my lean mass is probably 172 lb. Now the 170 lb dude looks taller than me, and at about 5% fat, his lean mass is around 162lb.

So I'm shorter and I've got 10lb lean mass on him. Yet he looks four times my size. The transformative effect of low bodyfat is amazing.

Jslep (below) from the forum competed at 156. Most natties at a local show are under 170 pounds.

So is it a mixture of low body fat and height that makes this possible?

I understand how body fat creates the illusion of bigger muscles, but I never properly understood the effect height has on the appearance of a lifters physique.

It is amazing, but with a shirt on and in person that person will still look smaller than you. There is this one guy at the gym I train at, who has a really ripped physique and looks amazing and sizey with a tank top that he wears. But when he is in his normal clothes, he doesn't even look like he lifts. It's confusing :S

Thats interesting.

Being a model, I have some clothes that are tailored to my body from the shoots I do.

I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago for H&M. It was for their v neck range, and Hatched jeans.

I now have that shirt, and wear it quite allot.

It shows off the muscle I've put on really well, and I get allot of comments about it.

Its a medium size.

Similarly, I could go buy that shirt, in medium, at H&M, and I wouldn't look half as good.

Clothing choice makes a huge difference in my opinion.

I'll get a picture up when I get chance.
