Hardest...Squats. I tend to rest/pause them until I just run out of gas but never really reach failure.

Easiest=Bench...It's easy to just lower the bar to the pins on my rack if I fail, so I will often push it pretty hard.

I'm with Off Road. I think the last exercise on Earth I want to train to failure is the squat.

Easiest...well barbell rows reach failure pretty easily and without incident.

Hardest: squats:
Easiest: I wouldn't call them "easy" but I'm never afraid to work DB rows to failure -- just keep rowing the sumbitch till I can't catch it at the bottom . Then depending on what rep # I'm at I might pick that SOB up and row it one rep at a time until my body yells "stop"

To be honest, I have always trained to failure since the very beginning, with the exception, of Front/Back squats (this can be too dangerous). I normally perform back squats when dietary arrangement is set up to gain body weight, and do Front Squats when reducing body weight (IMO, weight distribution is different, takes more work, and core kicks in more as a stabilizer). After this leaning down period, I am going to experiment with not training to failure and set up a program for this. Pullups are the most difficult to train to failure. Chest is the easiest.

Failure in building muscle is miss understood. Going to failure is when you need to pause between reps to get more out.
Not when you can't move it anymore as so many think.
