Default Aging and training frequency

Do you think it's reasonable as you age and reach a level of muscularity that you are satisfied with to train a muscle less than once a week? Perhaps once every 8, 10, 12 days?

I am concerned that infrequent training might trigger muscle loss or a deterioration of proper form on major compound lifts due to lack of practice.

What about HLM...having less frequent heavy days. Nothing wrong with having a light day to practice form.
