I agree with LTL..i think you have to keep the squats in

If I had to, I'd cut squats first without a second thought.

Thanks for the advice. It isn't that I have to drop front squats, just I don't like them and they are performed
So... if you considered my overall routine to have enough leg work minus the squats, and enough back work also, is dropping the squats completely a viable option?

Well, if it were me I'd drop the leg extensions first. Too much shearing force on the knee.

Front squats are extremely awkward; that's just how it is. I remember having trouble balancing 135 when I started doing them. What kind of grip are you using?

However, if you still feel that they're a problem then I'd perform deadlifts as my main lower body movement and just concentrate on them. The only real leg-up the squats have on deadlifts is that they place extra emphasis on the calves and quads; everything else is deadlift-dominated.

Keep the sqats and deads in. Even though they see alike they are 2 different animals.
Front squats you can kill them and do back squats. Fronts are more for detailing the quads due to the angle of the core. Unless your planing on competing.
Other wise for general lifting and size gains keep with back squats over dropping squats all together.

Both I agree with perverse posts. Try to keep back squats and deads in there.

This for the query NT.
I don't have a full length bar, so I can't place my arms where they'd need to be for a back squat. I use my Savickas press (the chains) to perform front squats with this intermediate size barbell. The demo vid is of the first time I ever tried them. I am using much heavier weight now.

As you can see, I need to start the exercise at the bottom of the movement. With a wider bar and more room, I could theoretically do back squats, also starting from the seated position.
