Only ever came close to hurling on three occasions:
First, was after not having done cardio early morning on an empty stomach and I put too much effort in instead of allowing the body to get with the program again. I learned form this, to make sure I adapted slower to routines after having not done them for a while.
Second, was after doing a really intense Tabata cardio session....bucket at the ready, but that was expected since they forewarn about the intensity of said routine. With this one, it was just a case of accepting it or lowering the initial intensity.
Third, was after I'd eaten a large meal and not permitted longer than 3 hours to let the thing digest to the point where leg work did not interfere with pressure against the gut section. This one, I learned quickly from and adjusted things to suit further sessions.
The point to the above is to show that sometimes you can alter the body's response as long as you can identify the cause.

You might want to consider throwing in a sports drink an hour before your workout.
