Nope, that type of classic style BB is gone. It lives on in garages, and in unknowns who never compete. Modern natural BB is not even close to what classic style was about. The ultra shredded look is whats expected. IMO I don't think they look that great that shredded.

Modern pro BB is no better than pro wrestling, IMO.

There are far more natural competitions with far more competitors.

Right now it's all about who controls the media and information. They make it seem like the pro side of the sport is huge, but it's no where near as popular as natural shows. You will see this next month. Natural shows are growing like crazy.
Solid! I'm stoked. So what do we need to do to take over the media? Guess I gotta just start an empire opposite of weider haha

Thats exactly what you have to do. There is a rebel alliance fighting the empire, but just like in the movie, it is not easy. Progress is being made though.

They did start testing wrestlers. Notice how guys like Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio have shrunken? Of course, I am guessing that guys like Triple H, Rock and Austin are somehow exempt.

I'm glad to have read this, because it really does make a powerful statement about the risks involved in pursuing an obviously unnatural physique, if not the greatest unnatural physique for the title.
It's ridiculous.

It is so important for fledgling body builders to appreciate the intrinsic worth in building naturally, and working on all those things in your diet and/or routines that you're thinking steroids will counteract, or fix for you... it's bullshit.

Anybody looking to get big nowadays, they need knowledge and discipline. If they really want to look in the mirror and see this

chances are they weren't genuine in the first place.
EDIT: I do know this is synthol... just using it for effect.

I am working on it

I have been spreading the gospel of realistic gains and training for 2 years.

I am not anti-steroid. I respect guys who train hard, and I respect the iron. But with that said, I do want realistic expectations propagated and avenues for average schmoes to get info.

I hope your right.

The sport then was all about being healthy and strong and NOT been super shredded at an unmaintainable bf% percentages.

The guys back then were also strong and fit. They looked the part, but they WERE the part.

I dislike the way the pro BB has gone, all about being massive and shredded with the beauty of symmetry and health all but forgotten.

IMHO the classic have a much more attainable, maintainable and natural look, even more so than some of the guys at the natural comps.

just my 2p worth

Carl.
