Best way to do a BTNP
Is it seated, standing, thumbless or regular grip. And any tips you guys may have on them would be great also.

I use a regular grip and usually go between standing and seated. Also, in one that really doesn't use full ROM. I bring the bar a little below my ears then up to short of lock out.

I would start seated, preferably with something behind your back. I am not really a fan of doing these in an unstable environment while working on form and adding stabilizer strength. Once you have some stabilizer strength you could try them standing.
I would also not lower them past the top of your ears. The lower the elbows go, the greater the shoulder strain and wear and tear.
Grip width...hands above elbows while arm is at 90 degrees.

I can only share what I have learned. I do them seated for no real reason except that it is easier of me to set up. Start with an empty bar and work on hand position. The first few times I did these I used a shoulder width grip and my shoulders hurt. I widened my placement and it helped immensely. Don't be in a hurry, take your time. Set up is the other hard point. I now set up with the bar at the top of the lift. A few points I have learned.
