You weigh more than he does, and have less muscle mass. You're carrying the fat elsewhere.

If you had only 14% bodyfat you would have nearly as much muscle as me. What is your height?

Wait until I lean out some more. You will see much clearer my body shape. It is not unlike Steve Reeves waist in his photo's. I will have a very small waist.

While I look fat in those pictures, I do still have some decent lean mass on parts of my frame.

you definately got good mass there, just a bit confused because I got some striations around my shoulder area when I tense and I can see some quad when I flex my legs. Thought I might have less bf than 18-20.

I am basing this on muscularity and relative muscle mass. I have a LBM of 178 in the picture I posted. If you were 14% bodyfat you would have a LBM of 172. The question you need to ask yourself is this...do I look within a few pounds of muscle of the pic BTB posted?

Striations can happen really anywhere. When I am at 40% bodyfat my quads are still crazy lean and I can see ripples. Certain areas hold more fat than others.

Seems a bit high to me considering my waist size. I know someone thats around 20% bodyfat and they have a about 2-3 inches on their waist on me and they aare roughly my size but your more experienced in these things than me BTB.

Just for some additional perspective, these natural bodybuilders are all 6'0".

Eric Halperin

Competition weight is 180. LBM is around 171 pounds.

Phil Cohen

Competition weight is 175. LBM is around 166 pounds.

It's not too high Old School. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Please look at my previous post. The natural bodybuilders I listed are 6'0" and have LBMs lower than the range you believe you are in.

At 18% you would have as much muscle as Phil Cohen, and you do not. Please don't take that the wrong way. It's not meant to be mean-spirited.

One way is how you are carrying your fat. My upper body and legs are very leaned out, about 10mm or less when pinched, I carry all of my weight right around my mid section. When I looked at your pics, you look like you carry your weight a little more evened out then I do. You are looking thick through the torso and arms, but not seeing the musculature I would expect to see if you were lower BF.
