Default Does the decline bench hit triceps or lower chest?

Does the decline bench hit triceps or lower chest more?

I was under the impression that because the decline had a shorter range that it involved the triceps more, and because of this, wasn't as good for the lower chest compared to flat bench or dips.

Depends on your grip...the closer the grip the more you will recruit the tris on this movement. If you keep your forearms perpendicular to the floor your chest will work just fine. In addition Dips are far better exe that decline bech and as far as flat bench i am not a big fan.

my 2 cents
