Yeah, he doesn't just rely on leg extension for quads and lat pulldown for back. He actually squats and deadlifts heavy in addition to everything else.

100% true. You need to do the 3 core lifts. BP, DL, S to build mass. The rest are just to fine tune. The only exception is in a case like mine and you don't have that option.
BUT yes very good point. Anyone just getting into building shouldn't even do any thing but BP,S,DL for at least 2 years and build a base then add a few fine tuning lifts but still keep the base 3 as the core in there routine.
