BTB, i searched "ghetto ghr" on youtube, and there are a lot of ways to do them, without a real ghr machine. may be worth looking into.

Thanks Kman. I checked out the videos. I am going to try and rig something with a barbell at my feet in the squat rack. I guess it's ojk to do GHRs (leg curls) in the squat rack

No knee issues at all, I never feel pressured with them. Just make sure you're sticking your ass far out so all the pressure goes on your glutes/hams.

I do that with RDLs, so I'm used to it. Thanks!

Maybe you can try something like this

I think Goodmornings are also a good choice, as all the basic exercises involving hams, but I don't think that there is exactly a best exercise suited for everyone, I think best exercise for a musclegroup can be the one that fits better in his bodytype, or the one which you can fit your bodytype to, changing stance, grip etc, if you know what I mean.
Mostly you have to find the sweet spot in each exercise.

One Leg Hypers is also a good choice if you have "problems" with GHRs

you should try ghr on an elevated surface with only your toes on it. this therefore increases your balance and gives your hamstrings and glutes an awesome but exhausting workout

I've been looking for something to replace leg curls with for a while. Gonna give some ghetto GHR's a go using the lat pulldown machine next leg session.

I'm so gonna try these GHR's. They look good! I also Like weighted sumo squats and Good Mornings. I'm getting better at GM... they are really odd at first- took time to build my back to support them. I do a lot of SLDL too. Way more than normal deads. I also do cable kick backs with a velcro strap around my ankle and pull the cable crossover back behind my body with my leg.
