Default Lats

I need some new lat exsercises.... Really good ones that I'm gonna feel sore the next day. I tend to feel it more in my forarms then in my lats so its hard to up the weights I'm currently using for like Lat pull downs and what not> any ideas? I also started using lifting straps to help ease the strain on my forarms> it helps some, but still pretty painful.

Have you tried straight arm lat cable pulldowns? Less grip involved. More of an isolation exercise instead of compound. Really, anything new that hits the muscle a different way should make you sore.

Do you do deadlifts?

Yates rows really help me to isolate the lats.

Yates rows kill the rhomboids for me


Do a crossover dumbell row, and really exaggerate the pause and stretch in front of your opposite foot

Steve, I think I saw that she doesn't do DL's.

BTW KP, something as little as this can make a big difference on isolating the lats better on pull downs. Make sure you don't wrap your thumbs around the bar. Place your thumb on top of the bar. Not sure why, but it helps remove more bicep and place more on the lats.
