Fav Exercise: One arm dumbbell rows.
It seems there are a few different ways to do it and a few different variations of the "extension"
As Dray said I guess it's personal preference and what works for you , with a difference that's really pretty marginal between them.
My personal preference is like what Adamite described, I prefer the more natural movement of skull crushers.
However, I get pretty bad wrist pain no matter how I do them it seems (did a thread about it last year), so I've been doing pushdowns since then.

You have to do Lying tricep extensions. Rippetoe says so.

Does anyone actually think that, btw?
6'2", ~100kg (~220lbs). 40yo, training (with a few breaks) since my late 30s.
Squat 160kg (352.7lbs), Bench 112.5kg (248lbs), Deadlift 220kg (485lbs), Strict Press 75kg (165.3lbs)
