Classic vs. Modern Naturals

Which physique do you prefer? Classic or modern?

For me, both of those look good.

Just based on that picture, I would say I would prefer classic for myself. I like the beefier, thicker look. I am a child of the 80's, I want mass.

right.

Something like Eder, I guess. :dunno2:

I'm assuming he was natural, as claimed.* Most "natties" these days, I don't believe it. I'm sure some are, but most... nope. So it's very hard to tell if any given modern example of a male body represents a remotely achievable archetype, if training all natural. Which used to piss me off, but now, I just shrug and assume it's almost all bullshit, because it probably is.

And hence, I look to those who used to be around when roids (etc.) either weren't being used, or at least weren't as hugely abused, and not necessarily by almost everyone, anyway.

* But even if so, almost certainly a genetic freak, fwiw.

edit: Not that I care about anyone using PEDs, per se, just for the record. It's just all the lying, the BS, the false hopes and irrelevant images presented to many, and so on, that I don't like at all.

Classic!!

SCStrong 10-24-2013 12:40 PM

Classic but I won't lie; I would be happy to wake up looking like either. Ha ha

bruteforce 10-24-2013 12:45 PM

Needz moar beef. But yeah, classic i think.

Yup Classic is the path young jedi :D

Classic for me, but that is not really a shock to anybody that knows me.

There's more to the answer though.

Todays lifter, generally works a split with a heavy emphasis on isolation movements as compared to the classic lifter. The classic lifter used a generally smaller number of moves utilizing a fullbody program most of the time. So, the overall flow of the body is a bit different for a classic as compared to a modern.

Even if the modern put on some weight in bodyfat, there would be some subtle differences that most people probably wouldnt notice.
