Is this the NEW Ian?

Tannhauser 05-13-2013 12:59 PM

[I've removed my comment about this misguided but probably well-intentioned young man

I looked at all the unpleasant youtube comments about him.

I looked at what I'd written on here.

I got the uncomfortable feeling that apart from my grammar being better, there was no difference between the two.]

Well a little back story. This kid went on Youtube calling out a competitive bodybuilder. So he brought a world of hurt upon himself.

He is going the route of Ian, and fast.

I think if his channel would have been "Information nation" it might have been more appropriate. I wouldn't start a channel called "800 pound bench press nation" nor "striation nation" for that matter.

Who is Ian? I sense he's a former youtube/FB phenomenon, but I haven't come across him,

Ian McCarthy is a very divisive figure.

Ian McCarthy of LiftingForLife - YouTube

He has a lot of good things to say, but occasionally takes his debates into the gutter by attacking the person in addition to the argument. I've seen him call experienced bodybuilders idiots and broscientists, or go out of his way to mock them.

All hell usually breaks loose.

Thanks - I remember him now.
