Hey man very nice log you got going on here!! I was wanting your opinion on my pics, I'm thinking of doing the SNBF South Carolina Championships next year and was wondering judging from these pics how long of a prep would I need for the show? Thanks

My bodyweight is around 229-230 right now.

Thanks and i am glad that you like my log....as far as your pics you have a lot of mass there monster!!! ....On the other hand if i were you i would diet no less than 20 weeks! seems a lot of time but trust me on this...because it will allow you to drop weight slowly and this will help you keep more muscle.....I did a show a few years ago after a long offseason and i started my diet around 220 and i dieted for 20 weeks ( 1st before starting my diet and second pic at the show..pics below)

I was thinking around about 20 weeks myself. What would you reccomend for cardio, and how many days a week for it? I compete in powerlifting and this will be my first bodybuilding contest.

Also I normally workout 3 days a week(Mon, Wed, Fri). Would you change this or keep it pretty much the same?

This is my split
Mon- Legs, Low Back, Abs
Wed- Chest, Shoulders, Triceps
Fri- Back, Biceps, Forearms
I normally do cardio for 20mins on either the Treadmill or Recumbent Bike after each workout

oh yea and how often to have a cheat meal throughout the prep?

kinda skimmed thru this, but the secret to looking more massive than you are, is good symmetry and low BF%

As far as Cardio i would start with 30 min 3 times per week keeping the intensity between 120-140 bpm. This is 10 min/session more than your current cardio protocol. The trick here is to add cardio slowly over time once your progres (fat loss) plateau...so everytime you hit the wall you need to add more cardio...but nothing crazy just 10-15 more min per session.

As far as your training i will probably train at least 5 times per week...3 times is ok but you need more frequency/instensity

Finally i dont have cheat days while i am competing...its my personal option, i only have high carbs days where i eat more complex carbs

i hope this helps
