People ask me every day to respond to other lifters. I won't. They can make up their own minds about the validity of each side.

What has he quit? Online guru or training full stop? Guy can talk alot of sense, but often has a problem seeing the wood for the trees.

"... make a stranger laugh"

I think really he just had a serious attitude problem.
No wonder everyone was getting sick of him, he disregarded everything anyone else said.

Has a shred of something resembling conscience got the better of him, finally? Bullshitting would-be bodybuilders just not fun any more?

I can think of half a dozen better people on Youtube to listen to, if you're a newbie (like me, lol), just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are many, many others too. Those who actually lift, know what they're talking about from experience, and hey, look like they lift too! :)

It's bad enough, when people listen to random forumites, say, without knowing anything about them, taking their advice wholecloth, etc.

But when newbies can actually see the con artist (or troll) doing their things, and still lap up the crap being vomited out... sometimes I wonder how it is folks can be SO damn stoopid. So easily led, regardless of facts that are (literally!) right in front of them. Agh!

In the end though, so it goes. Nothing can probably be done to change this. At least there's a chance that some of those followers will start to look elsewhere, while McCarthy is coming up with new ways to make a target of himself or whatever.

his problem is he is all science. bodybuilding, musclebuidling, etc...not a science. its more of an art that uses science. you cant hide behind study after study and neglect 50+ years of anechodtal evidence. no one body is the same. its called exercise THEORY for a reason.
