The Great Bodybuilding Debate
30 years of real life experience in training and competition meets a few years of scientific research:

I will post my views later as I don't want to taint anyone else's opinion.

I want to find time to watch the video in its entirety. I have seen a bit of Ian's work and not been really that impressed. That is all I will say until I can sit down and watch the entire video.

To paraphrase...

If you think I got 50 mins to watch McCarthy, you can f**k that!

All I can say is that I've talked to hundreds of natural fitness models, figure competitors and bodybuilders and they all use frequent feeding.

Is it required? Debatable.

Has it ever let a single one of these competitors down? No.

When I ask these guys about this debate behind closed doors they generally laugh at naysayers because they haven't "been there." This is not my opinion. Simply relaying the consensus.

The question is: if 100% of champions use something, should we ignore that?

The video is more about Ian's narrow-minded view on things. This isn't a dig on him in particular, I think the ability to be open to different ways of doing things comes with experience and his attitude is typical of young men his age.

For Ian to say he's trying to save people who never have a chance of turning IFBB pro from wasting their lives show's that he's never been on a journey long enough to learn from it. Having a goal is often more important than achieving one.

The whole thing for me was a little boy being taught lessons by a grown man. Ian had done no research on Dave prior to the discussion and came in showing him no respect. Whether he realised it or not, Dave has taught him some valuable lessons.

I will finish by saying that this is my first experience of watching Ian's opinions.

Saving people from themselves at minute 46 is rather interesting.

Worth watching.

I will say this...when McCarthy said he ate every 2 hours for 10 weeks, I raised an eyebrow. I would like a voice analysis done of his response. It's hard to believe.
