I will consider it a success, absolutely. A 400lb squat for me would have been incomprehensible a year ago, but now I believe I will reach that goal

A powerlifter coach once told me that anyone can learn to bench 100kg, deadlift 200kg and squat 150kg. Everything above that is work, work, work and more work for most people.

2x bw is acheivable by anyone, who is willing to put in the work, that is =)

I think 2x BW squat is reasonable for someone in good (unassisted) physical condition, with intermediate experience and excellent form/technique.

For me that would be 440lb, and aboslutely a success. If I EVER squat 440 I'll be quite happy, actually. I'm still 100lb shy at the moment.

Most I ever did was about 2.7 x BW with just a belt. Done almost triple with knee wraps.

I was lighter though, not as bulky in the upper body.

There are more 300+ pounders on this site than an offensive line.
