Hamstring training question?
How important is it to perform a knee flexion exercise for the hamstrings?
Can great hamstrings be built with only hip extension movements?

It's not so important for growth because you can get great results from other lifts like pull-throughs, stiff-legged deadlifts, Glute-ham raise, etc.
The leg curls are more important for joint health and should probably see some attention for part of the training year. I believe every joint should be worked in both (or all) directions at some point. No real need to do them all the time though.
