Biggest failure in lifting

I have not been lifting very long but I know that there will be many times when I can expect a failure to come my way. What has been your biggest failure so far while you have been lifting, either in competitions, with your health, or anything related to lifting?

There are no failures, only learning experiences...every session is worth something! Just my opinion and I've been lifting a long time...

Was biggest failures have been:

1) Stopping for periods of time.
2) Forgetting to have fun.

Smashing PRs is good and all, but this also has to be an enjoyable process. Far too often we get sucked into someone's dogma about "lift X" or "method Y" and get pressured to do something we don't want to do.

For example...you might like leg curls while 90% of strength coaches see no value in them. Do them anyway. Lighten up, relax, have fun with them. Lilliebridge does them and Hepburn did them.

Biggest failure?

Focusing too much on what I can't do and not enough on what I can. Focus on what you can do and soon you will find yourself doing things you thought you couldn't do.

Not squatting heavily for a while, then trying to PR.
