Default Sensible programs

I am just starting out and want to know what a sensible plan would be for me to follow. I am 39 years old and want to get big and ripped. I am not fat right now, I weigh about 180 or so and do not need to lose any before I get ripped.

You should test out your joints and if they suck do bodyweight exercise for a month or two to help condition them. When they are solid you can move into an abbreviated routine like
A B
Squat Deadlift/hyperextension
Bench Chin
Press Row

3x a week like A B A then next week B A B
