Exactly. There will be a time to add more volume and variety.

I may actually even do the main exercises bench squat and deadlift 6-8 reps and keep adding weight when I can.

Great. no need to ever change routines. Just progress.

I PM'd offroad about this, and wanted to get some others opinions on it as well though. I've read that side raises can be Push OR Pull.. In fact, some people consider them to be pull indeed. IF, I added them to the first upper day- would that infact be bad, or maybe even work good? Even like 2 sets of 10?

So, Upperbody day 1 + 2 Would look as follows:

Upper 1
Bench Press 4x6-8
Incline DB Press 3x10
Side Raises 2x10
1 Arm Db Row 3x15
Tricep Pushdowns 3x20 (with bands)
Curls 3x15

Upper 2
Incline Bench 3x10
DB Shoulder Press 2x10
Chest Dips 3x10-15
Chin-ups 3 x max reps
Tricep Pushdown with Bar 3x10
Curls 3x15

This way, shoulders get hit once each upper day.. I know its important to get stronger and improve on the basics- But perhaps this wouldn't hurt and the extra volume may indeed lead to growth, just wanted to see some of you guys opinions as the advice is always great

Side raises are a shoulder isolation exercise, not a compound pulling movement.

Have to agree with OR here.

Because of your compound movements, you are actually hitting shoulders at least three times each session, though only directly focusing on them once. Sides are a nice assistance exercise, but if you want to focus on compound they are not a good choice at all. If it were me, I would move your DB overheads to day one and insert a BB over head variation in day 2.

I think most here on MaB would agree...

Sensible routines
Compound movements
Progressive overload
Get Strong!

Spend a year or two with that before you think about working with volume, working muscle groups from every angle, and isolation exercises. Build the foundation.

Disclaimer...None of us can tell you how to procede, we can only tell you what our experiences have shown us. You of course will make the final decision.

lacking something that hits middle back (rhomboids, etc) and medial/lower traps. you need a row with high elbows somewhere in there.

Well, I have a lot of compounds, they are definitely important, but I think there is a need for some isolation movements in there as well. My shoulders do get hit good, but I figure a little extra couldn't help, no?
