Default Samson Strength - Christian Lifting Fellowship

Whats up everyone? Decided to make a thread to bring together the Christ Followers here on MAB. This is a place where we can share motivation, share stories, share advice, and share testimonies on how God has helped and been involved in our lives, especially our lifting.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and have been for many years. But unfortanately I have a very small social life and not many friends that lift. So I'd like to get to know you all better and hopefully we can help strengthen each other, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

So go ahead and post what's on your mind, on your heart, and in your gym.

(This is NOT a place for debate or controversial discussions. If you do not agree with someone's ideal or beliefs this is not the place to argue or bash one another. Respect each other. We all lift.)

My tattoo on my right arm. It always gets some good looks in the gym. A few have commented on it.

Default The Kaz and The Lord

It's always really awesome when you find out that a celebrity or athlete that you look up to is a Christian. Since I started lifting I've been a fan of Bill Kazmaier. And I'm sure that many of you have been as well. And I was stoked last year when I found out that he is also a Christian.

The Kaz is best known for his accomplishments in ESPN's Worlds Strongest Man and powerlifting and he even dabbled in pro wrestling. And during his appearances he often put on a character of a tough guy and real mean strongman. But if you ever seen him in an interview or the WSM documentary you'd know this is all for show. In reality Mr. Kazmaier is actually a really nice guy whose also humble and loves The Lord.

You can check out his testimony here.

Read the other day that Mr. Ronnie Coleman himself is a Christian. Right on, another brother who lifts.

(A lot of the time it looks like he's wearing a muscle suit or costume. Like he just doesn't look real.)

I am just now getting into powerlifting, so I am not as aware of the personalities as others. In bodybuilding there are quite a few who profess Christ. Lee Haney is, as I understand, ordained and offers a certification for personal training ministries. I have heard that the Blond Bomber professes the faith, others have been mentioned above.

Donnie Thompson is a Christian man, if I am not mistaken.
