2 years completed on MAB

Well I just completed my 2nd year on MAB, lifting consistently and keeping my workout log and having a great time.
Well here are the numbers:
Nov. 13 - Squat 305 - Bench 255 - DL 235
Nov. 15 - Squat 455 - Bench 360 - DL 505

OK for a computer geek lifting in his basement. I am thankful that I have been able to get this far, but at age 50 and 230 lbs, I know I can do much better. I just wanted to thank everyone on this site who puts up their numbers after each workout. It keeps me motivated and humble. I learn so much from the old dudes, new guys, and the more accomplished lifters who amaze me with their numbers.
from reading MAB posts, I have learned decent form and patience. Not trying to do more than I am capable of, but not sitting back and relaxing either. My older brother, on the other hand has had shoulder surgery and more recently, distal bicep repair from doing P90X, insanity and all those other video workouts. It seems our bodies don't like getting beaten on like that. I tried it and it wasn't for me at all.

Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to post this. To all the new guys, be patient, be consistent and every once in a while test yourself. You'll be amazed at what you can do. Thanks Steve Shaw. Great job on the videos and common sense that is lacking elsewhere. Thanks to everyone who makes this place fun and different.
Happy Thanksgiving

Congrats, and when you get older you find out it's not hard you work but how smart you work which = longevity which at my age I find I still have the passion and desire to strive to be better today than I was yesterday so keep pumping my brother in iron and these "young bucks can learn a thing or two about the long run! Happy Thanksgiving

This is outstanding progress! Proof that age is not as much of a hindrance as some think. Especially impressive is the squat and bench numbers since those lifts were pretty good to begin with.

+150 lbs on squat in 2 years
+105 lbs on bench in 2 years.

Those would be great numbers at any age...the majority of younger lifters don't even make that kind of progress. A testament to your smart programming and obviously a lot of dedication. I am not as old as you(44), but I definitely don't subscribe to the "older lifters are disadvantaged" stuff. I hope to hit a similar total sometime next year that you have already achieved. Motivation!!
